I found this challenge over at The Secret Library Book Blog. It is hosted byAMY @ PASSAGES TO THE PAST . Click on her site for all the details.
I am hoping to acheive the Ancient History Level which is to read 25 Historical Fiction Books. That is a lot for me, so I shall see how it goes. I switched to the Prehistoric Level partway through the year and surpassed that goal as well. I am quite happy with how I did. I definitely upped my game in this genre.
During the following 12 months you can choose one of the different reading levels:
20th Century Reader – 2 books
Victorian Reader – 5 books
Renaissance Reader – 10 books
Medieval – 15 books
Ancient History – 25 books
Prehistoric – 50+ books

How fun! I do enjoy HistFic. But sometimes the longer stories can be a bit daunting. I should be able to pull of a Victorian 😂

Glad to have you join in Nina. I agree, I am not big on the long books either.

Oh, I wish I had it in me to do this one. I love historical fiction. Honestly, I’d probably end up getting to Victorian Reader, but I’m so afraid to commit to additional challenges this year. You’ll probably read 25 with no issue. Do you have any idea how many you read last year?

You can still keep track for yourself with no commitment. I only read 16 during 2018, which was why I wanted to try this one. I have so many Historical Fiction on my tablet, this will hopefully give me that push to read more.

I am starting small, but we shall see. I enjoy Historical Fiction, but don’t read as much as I would like. Good luck Davida.

Historical Fiction is my favorite so this one I could probably do in my sleep lol. Some of the other challenges are a bit more difficult though

The genre one will be the toughest for me, but Historical Fiction is an area I enjoy, but don’t read enough of.

In general, historical fiction tends to be longer, but you are such a prolific reader that you will probably be able to complete this challenge along with the many others you are attempting. Fortunately one book can fit many categories. Whew!
