πŸŒžπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ A Wonderful Canada Day πŸŒžπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Today was Canada Day and my immediate family came over for a BBQ, to decorate cookies, visit and of course swim. We had an awesome day. I needed a day like this.

Happy Victoria Day

To all my fellow Canadian, Happy Victoria Day. It doesn’t really feel like a holiday or long weekend right now, but hopefully you can get outside and maybe have a barbecue.

Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday preceding May 25, initially in honour of Queen Victoria’s birthday it is now celebrated as the official birthday of the current Queen of Canada. It is informally considered the beginning of the summer season in Canada.

The Lion King Musical – Theatre Extravaganza

This past weekend, I spent a few days with my daughter. We headed to London to see The Lion King (Broadway Production). We drove to Missisauga, just outside Toronto to check in to our hotel. Because the Caribana Festival was in Toronto this weekend, we ended up taking the subway into town due to the numerous road closures. I am a Subway Neophyte, but we made it. The other neat thing was seeing the people who had been in the parade in their costumes riding the subway with us.
