I wanted to have a page where I listed all my 2021 Reading Challenges. I hope this will help me to keep them organized and that I wonโt forget any of them. My plan is to update this page at the end of each month with my progress. I will also use the same book for more than one challenge, so it will not be impossible to complete as many of my challenges as possible.
Edelweiss Reviewers Challenge on Goodreads: The host for this group is Lynne from Fictionophile. I have linked to this group in case you want to join in. My goal for this challenge is to read 30 books that I got from Edelweiss.ย 18/30 (2021- 04-04 )
The 52 Book Club -2021 Challenge: This is a new challenge for me. I was invited to this group on Goodreads and it looked like a fun challenge so I jumped onboard. There is also a facebook page for this group. If you visit my page you can link to the challenge page on Goodreads and the Facebook group if you are interested.ย 33/52ย (2021- 04-04 )
Bookbloggers Fiction Challenge for 2021ย #BB2021FRC: This is a challenge that requires the reader to read 8 books based on specific prompts. A challenge begun by Lynne atย Fictionophileย in 2020. I enjoyed it and wanted to participate again.ย 6/8ย (2021-03-31)
Complete! 2021 Mystery Genre Bingoย Challenge: Using key ideas and topics, Darinda atย NIGHTCAP BOOKSย has you create your own bingo card for this challenge. My goal is to complete two lines on my card. 17/25 squares, 2 linesย (2021- 04-04)
Whatโs In A Name 2021 โย Challenge: This is another relatively short challenge. There are only 6 prompts to fulfill for this challenge hosted by Andrea @ย Carolina Bookย Nook.ย 5/6ย (2021-02-28) NO CHANGE
ย Library Love Challenge 2021:ย Library Love Challenge hosted byAngelโs Guilty Pleasuresย &ย Books of My Heart. I have selected the Overdrive Junkie level which is to read or listen to 36 books. I will probably increase that goal as the year progresses.ย 40/36 (2021-03-31) I am going to up to Library Addict which is 48 books.
Spell the Month in Books: This is a monthly meme originally created byย Jana @ Reviews from the Stacks. I am turning mine into a challenge. I am using books on my TBR to spell the month with the goal that I read at least half of them each month. I donโt have a wrap-up page for this goal, so will just link to each month from here.ย January 5/7,ย February 6/8, March 5/5, April

Wow! You’re doing fabulous with your challenges! I love the twist you put on the Spell the Month in Books challenge. I might try that too. ๐

Good luck on all your challenges Carla. I’m happy to report that the Edelweiss challenge seems to now be working well. Last year it had some ‘bugs’ which caused it to not count everyone’s tally correctly. Thankfully, after my many pesky emails, it is now working like a charm… at least it is for me.

Thanks Lynne. Yes, it has been working well for me as well. I noticed that there are not as many participating this year, that’s too bad, or perhaps they just haven’t made a shelf.

I think they were all disgusted that it didn’t respond correctly last year. I too was disappointed to see very few participate in the challenge this year. Oh well…

When you get frustrated, you are not going to try again, I get it.

Thanks Lucy, My goal was to get as many finished by the end of June as I could, so I am almost there. Of course, the problem is the harder prompts get pushed to the end, then I can’t find anything to fit.

Not as ambitious as it looks. Most are books I am reading anyway, I just slot them in. It just helps to keep me on track a bit better.

Don’t be, Kim. Sometimes I think it is sad that I have this much time to read, but it makes me happy.
