This meme was started by Rae Longest at Powerful Women Readers. As I am a grandmother, who loves to read to her grandchildren, a mother who loved to read to and with her children, and a retired teacher librarian, this meme really attracted me. This week I am highlighting an author that my grandchildren love! 

Sandra Boynton

Sandra Keith Boynton is a popular American humorist, songwriter, children’s author and illustrator. Boynton has written and illustrated more than forty books for both children and adults, as well as over four thousand greeting cards, and four music albums. Although she does not license her characters to be redrawn or adapted, she has herself designed—for various companies—calendars, wallpaper, bedding, stationery, paper goods, clothing, jewelry, and plush toys.

Pretty much anything I have read to my grandchildren by Sandra has them laughing and asking to hear it again. Here are a few of her books that I have read to them and I recommend them all.
