Yummy Cozy Mystery Reviews: Muffin But the Truth & Catch Me if You Candy by Ellie Alexander #BookReview #Audiobook #BeatTheBacklist2024 #2024AudiobookChallenge #FinishingTheSeries2024

After reading and listening to some books with heavy topics and themes, I always look forward to a nice, easy, entertaining story. Cozy Mysteries are my go to for this, and A Bakeshop Mystery series, is one that I have read from the beginning. Over the last couple of weeks, I listened to two of the more recent books in the series with mixed feelings. So, what did I think?

Daisy’s Tea Garden Mysteries: Mini-Reviews – Murder with Darjeeling Tea, Murder with Earl Grey Tea & Murder with Chocolate Tea #BookReviews #Audiobook #BeatTheBacklist2023 #FinishingTheSeries2023

Daisy’s Tea Garden mysteries are enjoyable and I decided to do a binge listen and catch up on the series. One thing I enjoy about this series is the mix of mystery and personal stories of Daisy and her family. This cozy mystery series, has a lot to like. There are pets, an Amish and English community living side by side, great character development, and a charming setting of the tea shop and community. I listened to all of these books, narrated by C.S.E. Cooney. Although I have become used to her voice with this series, I still find that beyond the main characters, all her voices sound the same. I do speed them up to 1.5 and find that a very enjoyable speed to listen to with this series. If you enjoy a good cozy mystery, with not only a mystery, but great personal side stories, then I recommend you give this series a try. Also, there are recipes you can try.

St. Patrick’s Day 2023 has come and gone and I enjoyed a few cozy mysteries to help celebrate. As well as eating Corned Beef and Cabbage, I also lifted a glass of Bailey’s Irish Cream over ice while I read and listened to some cozies by a few of my favorite authors, in my favorite series.

Cozy Mystery Mini-Reviews: The Tuesday Night Survivor Club, No Parm No Foul, A Murder Between the Pages #BookReview @LynnCahoon @LindaSReilly7 @PPPress @KensingtonBooks

For those of you who have been following my blog, you know I do enjoy a good, well written cozy mystery. These three definitely fit that bill. I love stories set in libraries or bookstores, so two of these also added that to the mix. I will warn you not to read No Parm No Foul on an empty stomach or you might find yourself scavenging through your fridge to make yourself an ooey, gooey grilled cheese sandwich.
