Published April 2, 2020

Genre: Romantic Comedy

3rd book in series (can be read as a stand alone)

Estimated Page Count – 320

About the Book: All of our favourite characters from Cockleberry Bay are back in this final, heart warming story in the series. Including Hot, Rosa Smith’s adorable dachshund and his new-born puppies.

Now successfully running the Cockleberry Café and wishing to start a family herself, Rosa feels the time is right to let her inherited Corner Shop go. However, her benefactor left one important legal proviso: that the shop cannot be sold, only passed on to somebody who really deserves it.

Rosa is torn. How can she make such a huge decision? And will it be the right one? Once the news gets out and goes public, untrustworthy newcomers appear in the Bay . . . their motives uncertain. With the revelation of more secrets from Rosa’s family heritage, a new journey of unpredictable and life-changing events begins to unfold.

The Gift of Cockleberry Bay concludes this phenomenally successful series in typically brisk and bolshy style and will delight the many thousands of Rosa’s fans

4.5 Stars:

As I finished this book, I had mixed feelings. I was thrilled with the way it ended and so happy for all the many characters that I have gotten to know over reading this trilogy, but sad that I will no longer get to visit Cockleberry Bay and spend time with Rosa, Titch and all the other residents. In the first book of this series, Rosa is gifted with The Corner Shop, but the proviso is that she can’t sell it, but must gift it to someone worthy when she is ready to move on. In this book, we find out who will be the new owner of The Corner Shop. There are other loosed ends that are tied up and I was very pleased with how this book played out. I loved all the characters that I met along the way and the new ones that we meet in this book. It is amazing how Rosa is able to bring out the best in everyone. The same humour, sarcasm and wit is present in this book that I have come to expect in this trilogy. I also love the dogs, all the dogs. There were even a few new ones in this story, and they are all a hoot. I love their antics as well as how they complete their owners. I do not want to give away the plot of this book, but suffice it to say, that I loved this story. You will fall in love with the characters and Cockleberry Bay and I hope you all get the chance to read, not just this book, but the whole trilogy. I was gifted a copy of this book upon request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.
