I have enjoyed many of the Bad Hair Day Mysteries and enjoy the opportunity to read each book as it comes out. I also follow Nancy J. Cohen’s blog and have been waiting for her new release. I was pleased to participate in the blog tour of Star Tanged Murder and share a guest post as well as a review with you. Scroll down to enter the giveaway for a signed copy of the book and some tea.
I love books with older, more mature characters. Being a senior myself, I enjoy reading books with characters that I can identify with, laugh with, cry with and go on a journey with. These three of the latest I have read or listened to that I highly recommend.

As I am a grandmother, who loves to read to her grandchildren, a mother who loved to read to and with her children, and a retired teacher librarian, this meme really attracted me.

Each of them are very different, but all are enjoyable. There is some romance in each of them, some more than others. All are available now in various formats.

They were cozies, crime stories, family mysteries and some humorous ones, but I enjoyed them all. I listened to most of each book, but also read some. I recommend them all!

I read the first book a few years ago and spent the last couple of weeks reading all the rest, finishing this one with a smile. The Glass Bead Mystery Series is a fun cozy mystery series and each book is enjoyable. Scroll down for my review, a guest post from one of my favourite characters in the series, Val, and to enter the giveaway for a chance to win the whole series.
Continue reading “Born to Bead Wild by Janice Peacock #BookReview #BlogTour #Giveaway”Seven years ago, I read my first Glass Bead Mystery, High Strung by Janice Peacock. I enjoyed this cozy mystery with the main character being a glass bead artist. This was a new occupation of a protagonist of cozies for me, but for whatever reason, I hadn’t read the rest in the series. It certainly wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy it, I think I had too many cozy mysteries on my TBR. Book #5 Born to Bead Wild was published in January, so I decided it was time to catch up. All the books are available on Kindle Unlimited, so I did a binge read and enjoyed reading these down by the pool. Scroll down to read my thoughts of books #2 through #4.
Continue reading “Mini-Reviews of Glass Bead Mystery Series (#2, #2.5, #3, #4) #BookReview #BeatTheBacklist2023 #FinishingTheSeries2023”I need you to pretend it is Thursday. I had this post ready, but didn’t schedule it, so it is Sunday and I finally pressed the publish button. I finally finished the DI Kim Stone series, or at least caught up because I hope there will be more in the series. I also am a big fan of Joy Fielding, so when The Housekeeper showed up at my library in audiobook format, I decided it would be an interesting one to listen to while down at the pool. I enjoyed all three of them, some more than others, but I recommend them all.
