Two Very Different Romances: Lost and Found Family, It Happened One Summer #AudiobookReview @HarperAudio

Lost and Found Family and It Happened One Summer are both romances, but oh so different. The first is a sweet romance with a widow and her children, the second is a hot and sexy rom-com involving an influencer that ends up in a small fishing town and falls in love with a local fisherman and boat captain. Both enjoyable, but one had me smiling, while the other had my ears burning. Both audiobooks were provided to me by the publisher upon my request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

Saturday Morning for Kids: Picture Books to Enjoy #BookReview

This meme was started by Rae Longest at Powerful Women Readers. As I am a grandmother, who loves to read to her grandchildren, a mother who loved to read to and with her children, and a retired teacher librarian, this meme really attracted me. If you love children’s books, or have a favourite from your childhood, join us in introducing them to a new generation of readers.

Today I am reviewing five picture books that I read to my grandchildren. They are appropriate for toddlers to primary grades. Comments from the kids are included, as well as any types of discussions or activities that we may have had. These books were all provided by the publisher through Netgalley. The ratings and opinions shared are our own.

Two Wonderful Books with Dogs: One Memoir, One Fiction #BookReview

I loved both of these books, although they were very different. When Harry Met Minnie is a memoir by Marthat Teichner dealing with love of Bull Terriers and how that brought two women together in a heartbreaking yet wonderful friendship. A Dog’s Courage is a story from W. Bruce Cameron and is the second book in A Dog’s Way Home series. It is very timely, dealing with forest fires and the animals that get displaced by them. Fiction, but realistic. Both of these books were provided by the publisher upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.
