Three authors I enjoy, three series I will continue to read and follow and three great listening experiences. These books are all crime related with various groups investigating (police, FBI, criminology professor/ex police). All were fast paced and edge of your seat stories. I listened to them all over the last few weeks and recommend any of them.

This is a crime thriller with a legal bent and it grabbed me right from the start. Scroll down for my review and a giveaway. Check out some of the other stops on the tour for an excerpt, guest posts, an interview and more.

Let It Snow by Sue Moorcroft is #19, while A Match Made For Christmas and The Highlander’s Holiday Wife make #14 and #15 on the extra list. I can’t believe I have read 34 Christmas stories since the beginning of October. These three are so different from each other, but all were enjoyable and I am glad I picked them up.

The stories are based on actual historical events, but with a fictionalized story. The thing I enjoy is many of the events are not well known, so I end up heading out and doing a bit of research on my own each time. The other interesting thing is that each of the books is written by a different author, but they are all well written and follow the same theme. Although there are 12 books in the series, they can be read in any order, as they are all separate stories about different events. I am working my way through this series for my Finish a Series Challenge as well as Beat the Backlist.

Last month, I wrote a post Books to Read Based on my Zodiac Sign: Saggitarius (November 22 – December 22). I planned on picking one of the books to read before December 22nd and based on reviews I read, I selected The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow and chose to listen to the audiobook as it was available at my library. I really enjoyed it and am glad that is the one I selected. Scroll down for my thoughts.

They had women making decisions about their lives as well as deciding what they wanted out of that life. Yes, there is romance and love involved, but that is not all there is in these stories. I did read/listens with both of them and enjoyed both formats.

I will say that although I enjoyed these books, they were not as exciting as I had hoped. They had good mysteries, but I missed the quirkiness I normally enjoy in a cozy mystery. I listened to all of these books using Hoopla through my local library.

I am trying to catch up on reviews, so will be posting some mini-reviews. Both of these books were originally provided to me by the publishers upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.
