Three Animal Stories, Narrated by the Animals: Mac on a Hot Tin Roof, What a Dog Knows and Frankie and Amelia #BookReview #20BooksofSummer2021

I really enjoy stories that feature animals as main characters and these three did not disappoint. I enjoyed all of them, even though they were all very different. All of these books were provided by the publisher at one time. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

Sweet Romance to Read on a Hot, Summer Day: Bookshop By The Sea, Once Upon a Royal Summer, Met Her Match #AudiobookReviews #20BooksofSummer21

Over the last two weeks, we have had hot and humid days here in Southern Ontario. Because of that, I have spent a lot of time floating in the pool, working in the garden or relaxing in the shade. Sweet romance is perfect for my mood, so I listened to these three stories. All were enjoyable, and just what I was looking for.

The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse #BookReview

The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse by Charlie Mackesy

Published October 10th 2019 by Ebury Press

About the Book: Enter the world of Charlie’s four unlikely friends, discover their story and their most important life lessons. The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse have been shared millions of times online – perhaps you’ve seen them? They’ve also been recreated by children in schools and hung on hospital walls. They sometimes even appear on lamp posts and on café and bookshop windows. Perhaps you saw the boy and mole on the Comic Relief T-shirt, Love Wins?

Here, you will find them together in this book of Charlie’s most-loved drawings, adventuring into the Wild and exploring the thoughts and feelings that unite us all.

Marry Christmas Murder, Veiled in Death (2 Cozy Mysteries in the Wedding Planner Mysteries) by Stephanie Blackmoore #AudiobookReview

This week, I listened to the last two books in the Wedding Planner Mystery series. In this series Mallory Shepard owns a wedding planning business in Port Quincy. She was a lawyer, but that was not what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She returned home initially to get married to a spoiled, rich man who fooled around on her and she stayed to run her own business after inheriting a large estate that she turned into a B&B. She now works with her sister Rachel in her event planning business. These books were narrated by Christa Lewis, who has a pleasant, light expressive voice. A narrator that I enjoy when listening to cozy mysteries.

Cozy Mystery Reviews: Murder at the Taffy Shop, Peach Clobbered, Ripe for Vengeance, Nothing Bundt Trouble #AudiobookReviews

Over the last week, I have listened to several cozy mystery books while outside working in my yard. At one time or another I received each of these books from the publisher via Netgalley or Edelweiss, but I listened to each of them using Hoopla, Scribd or one from the publisher. I enjoyed them all and with the exception of one narrator, I would not hesitate to listen to them again. The ratings and opinions shared are my own.

The Magnolia Sisters: A Magnolia Reunion (#0.5), The Last Carolina Sister (#3) #AudiobookReview #BookReview

I have been enjoying the Magnolia Sisters series by Michelle Major. I recently realized that there were some novellas published between the three main books in the series, so this week I read the first one, as well as listening to the third sister’s story in The Last Carolina Sister.
