#FinishingTheSeries2022: Widow’s Island Series by Kendra Elliott and Melinda Leigh #BookReview #audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge #BrillanceAudio #KendraElliot @MelindaLeigh1

The Widow’s Island series is ten novellas, so far, set on Widow’s Island or the many small islands in the vicinity. This series is written by a pair of authors, Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh. They feature former FBI special agent, Cate Wilde, her fiancé and island doctor, Henry Powers as well as local Deputy Tessa Black and her fiancé, park ranger Logan Wilde. Melinda Leigh’s novellas are written from the point of view of Deputy Tessa Black, while Kendra Elliot’s focus on Tessa’s best friend Cate, a former FBI agent, who also happens to be Tessa’s fiance’s sister, although they appear in all the books. I listened to #5 to #10 over the last three weeks and loved the narration. Each audiobook is around 3 hours to listen to at normal speed and were great to listen to when I had a long car ride or mundane tasks around the house. I recommend this series and if you have Kindle Unlimited, they are all available with the read/listen option.

Novella November – 5 Thrillers/Suspense: Uncharted Waters, Stockholm, Belle Mer, Signal Moon, Tell Her Story #BookReview #Audiobooks #Thriller

I wanted to read a few Novellas in November, especially since I recently discovered The Getaway Series on Blue Moon Cafe, when Jonetta reviewed Belle Mer by Luanne Rice. Although many of these stories I read are technically short stories and not novellas, I am including them anyway. I found a few others on Audible Originals which are free with my membership

Mystery, Suspense: The Couple at Number 9, The Family Remains #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge @HarperAudio @Dougieclaire @SimonAudio @lisajewelluk

I have read several mysteries, thrillers and suspense stories over the last few weeks and am trying to get caught up on my reviews. I listened to these two stories and enjoyed them very much. Neither were fast moving thrillers, but they were steady, interesting, gripping, enjoyable stories with wonderful narration.

Three Thriller Reviews: Stay Awake by Megan Goldin, Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister & 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge @megangoldin @GillianMAuthor @cathryanhoward @HarperCollinsCa @HarperAudio @MacmillanAudio @BlackstoneAudio @StMartinsPress

I enjoy a good thriller and when I find one with a different premise, I want to snuggle down and see where the author is going to take me. Well, these three all satisfied that hunger. All of these stories had plots that were different from others I had read and pulled me into the stories, albeit not right from the start. It took a bit to become immersed in the story, but I definitely recommend them all. I also did read/listens with all of them and recommend either format depending upon your preference.
