Christian Fiction: The Bookshop of Secrets, The Prayer Box #BookReview #Audiobook #12Friends12Books @HarlequinBooks

This post highlights two Christian Fiction books I recently read. The Bookshop of Secrets is a mystery, adventure and story of new beginnings and healing. The Prayer Box is a story of self-worth, new beginnings, speaking up for those who can’t and family. Both of these books also have romance in them, but that is NOT the main focus of either book. The Prayer Box is my fourth book read for my 12 Friends, 12 Books Challenge, so I am one book ahead of schedule.

Romance Mini-Reviews: A Lot Like Forever, The Forgiving Quilt, The Next Best Day #BookReview

I do enjoy a good romance, and all three of these are interesting and enjoyable. They are very different from one another, one being a family story, another an Amish romance and the last being a story dealing with trauma and PTSD and healing while finding romance.

Books with characters my age: The Highland Hens, Lost Luggage, The Golden Oldies #BookReview @BoldwoodBooks

So many of the books I read have main characters that are in the 20s and 30s and those days are long gone for me. I still enjoy them, but I love when I find books with characters that are closer to my age. (65). Judy Leigh is definitely a go to author for me when looking for more mature characters. I haven’t read a lot of Samantha Tonge’s books, but will be checking her backlist after reading Lost Luggage. If you enjoy books with older characters, a bit of romance, people enjoying life and friendship, check out these books.

Happy Holidays! More Christmas Book Mini-Reviews: Let It Snow, A Match Made at Christmas, A Highlander’s Holiday Wife #BookReview #Audiobook #20BooksForChristmas #2022AudiobookChallenge

I am continuing to enjoy Christmas stories and only have one more to read for my 20 Books for Christmas Challenge. Let It Snow by Sue Moorcroft is #19, while A Match Made For Christmas and The Highlander’s Holiday Wife make #14 and #15 on the extra list. I can’t believe I have read 34 Christmas stories since the beginning of October. These three are so different from each other, but all were enjoyable and I am glad I picked them up.

Happy Holidays! A few more Christmas book reviews: A Wish for Winter, Once Upon a Royal Christmas, A Very Merry Bromance & The Christmas Hummingbird #BookReview #Audiobook #20BooksForChristmas @HarperAudio

Wow, Christmas is less than three weeks away, and I have been impressed with the bumper crop of Christmas and Holiday stories published this year. Between my Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon and 20 Books For Christmas, I have read over 30 books this year, some backlist, but most published this year. This latest group were almost all listened to and the audiobooks were all well done. Although one of these is somewhat predictable, I enjoyed them all and they brought me the warm, cozy, feeling I enjoy with my Christmas reading.
