Mini-Reviews of Thrillers: The Daughter-in-Law, Silent Angel, Murder at Black Oaks & Vanishing Hour #BookReview #Audiobook

I do enjoy a good thriller and have read and/or listened to several in the last few weeks. They were all very different with one being a mystery thriller, one a crime thriller, one a legal thriller and the last being a K-9 police/mystery thriller. I enjoyed them all doing a read/listen with all but one of them and enjoying all the narrators and formats. I recommend them all.

Mystery mini-reviews: A Place to Land, The Bullet That Missed, The Vanishing Type #BookReviews #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge

A few mini-reviews of some mysteries I have read over the past few weeks. They are all different, but enjoyable. A Place to Land is an atmospheric, southern mystery dealing with family secrets, The Bullet That Missed is a group of seniors that solve cold cases, and The Vanishing Type is a Cozy Mystery with a bit of a magical realism. I listened all three on audio, and they were all very well done pulling me into the story even more with the narration.

Thriller Thursday: Daisy Darker, The Prisoner, Voice of Fear #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge @HarperAudio @MacmillanAudio

I have read a few thrillers over the last several weeks, and thought Thriller Thursday would be a great day to finally share my reviews. These are all very different with a Mystery Thriller, a Psychological Thriller and a Crime Thriller. I listened to all of them on audio and was very pleased with all the narrators and the presentation of the story.

Novella November – 5 Thrillers/Suspense: Uncharted Waters, Stockholm, Belle Mer, Signal Moon, Tell Her Story #BookReview #Audiobooks #Thriller

I wanted to read a few Novellas in November, especially since I recently discovered The Getaway Series on Blue Moon Cafe, when Jonetta reviewed Belle Mer by Luanne Rice. Although many of these stories I read are technically short stories and not novellas, I am including them anyway. I found a few others on Audible Originals which are free with my membership

Reviews of Books Set in Libraries: The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill, Elodie’s Library of Second Chances by Rebecca Raisin #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge

I love books set in libraries, bookshops, or publishing houses. If a book is about an author, editor, or even narrator, count me in. The Woman in the Library and Elodie’s Library of Second Chances definitely called to me. One a mystery, the other an uplifting story of friendship and new beginnings, they were everything I was hoping for.

YA Mini-Reviews: The Drowned Woods, Enola Holmes and the Elegant Escapade #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge

Over the last few weeks, I did read/listens for a couple of YA books that I very much enjoyed. The Drowned Woods is a dark fairytale/fantasy/folklore story from Wales and Enola Holmes and the Elegant Escapade is a mystery/adventure story. I recommend them both.

Historical Mysteries/Crime: The Red Palace, A Rip Through Time #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge

It’s now secret that I enjoy a good mystery and these two, The Red Palace and A Rip Through Time definitely fit that bill. These are historical mysteries, one set in Korea in 1758 and the other in Scotland in 1869. Although very different from one another, they were both excellent stories that I recommend.
