Snowed in For Christmas by Sarah Morgan #BookReview #Audiobook @HTPBooks @HarperAudio @SarahMorgan_

I love reading Christmas books and was thrilled when HTP books announced their slate of wonderful Christmas stories by authors I love. Please join me in wishing Sarah Morgan a Happy Book Publishing Day today as Snowed in For Christmas hits the shelves. This was such a fun story, but it also has some serious issues. Scroll down for my thoughts, a Q&A with Sarah Morgan and an excerpt from the book.

#20BooksofSummer: Sweet Summer Sunset by Delores Fossen (19), On a Summer Tide by Suzanne Woods Fisher (20) #BookReview #Audiobook #BeatTheBacklist2022 #2022AudiobookChallenge

I did it! I have completed The 20 Books of Summer Challenge. I gave myself an option of 32 books, all with Summer in the title and was able to read or listen to 20 of them. Here are the reviews of the #19 and #20. Fifteen were backlist books, which was another goal for this challenge. Overall, I enjoyed most of them and am ready for 20 Books of Christmas, beginning soon.

Stories of Friendship: Lifesaving for Beginners by Josie Lloyd, The Wedding Dress Sewing Circle by Jennifer Ryan #BookReview #Audiobook @JosieLloydbooks @JenniferiRyan @HQstories @RandomHouse

Stories of friendship, especially multi-generational friendships, are ones that I find uplifting and enjoyable. Lifesaving For Beginners and The Wedding Dress Sewing Circle are very different from each other, but both have themes of friendship and support, as well as strong independent female characters. I enjoyed them both for different reasons and recommend them.

Stories of Family: The Lost and Found Girl by Maisey Yates, In the Middle of Hickory Lane by Heather Webber #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge @HarperAudio @MacmillanAudio @HQNBooks @ForgeReads @maiseyyates @BooksbyHeather

I love books about family whether they are estranged, keeping secrets and finding one another, and these two were wonderful. Both were read/listen, but more listen than read. I enjoyed both of these stories and definitely recommend them if you enjoy Women’s Fiction, Romance, Secrets, and Family. Both of these books were provided to me by the publisher upon request. The ratings and opinions shared are my own.

The Key to the Last House Before the Sea by Liz Eeles #BookReview @Bookouture @lizeelesauthor

Happy Book Birthday to Liz Eeles on the publishing of The Key to the Last House Before the Sea. This is the fourth book in the Heaven’s Cove series and I enjoyed it as much as all the others. Although this is the fourth book, it can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the whole series.

Mini-Reviews: Sugar and Salt, For Butter or Worse, Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton #BookReview #Audiobook #2022AudiobookChallenge @HarperAudio @WmMorrowBooks @HQNBooks

Sugar and Salt, For Butter or Worse and Bless Your Heart, Rae Sutton all deal with issues affecting women. Whether is is sexism, justice, the other woman, proving yourself, or just dealing with preconceived notions of being emotional and not smart enough, they are all here in one way or another. These are very different stories from one another, with one being Christian Fiction and one being a bit steamy, but all were enjoyable to read or listen to.

Old Friends Reunited, Sisters Behaving Badly by Maddie Please #BookReviews @BoldwoodBooks @MaddiePlease1

I absolutely love reading books by Maddie Please. They are uplifting, funny, full of friendship, some romance and new beginnings. I love that her characters are older, sending the message that life does not end at 60.
