Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Marlene of Reading Reality. Itβs all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, books for review from authors, Netgalley, Edelweiss or publishers, as well as gifts or books you won. If you click on the covers, it will take you to Goodreads, if it is on there.Β
I am a day late posting this as my grandkids were over from Saturday afternoon and didn’t leave until 7:00 Sunday, so I was a tired grandma.
One of my goals for 2023 was to request fewer ARCS. But it has been hit or miss so far this year. Last week I received only 6 ARCs from Netgalley/Edelweiss. This week, I added 14 ARCs from Netgalley/Edelweiss, so just a few more than last week. Last week I had 10 books and 2 audiobooks pending between Netgalley and Edelweiss, this week I have 12 books and no audiobooks pending.Β
Netgalley: 7 ebooks, 1 audiobook
Edelweiss: 2 ebooks
Blog Tour: 4 tours coming up in the next few months
I added 14 ARCs to Mount TBR this week. I had another good week reading and listening to books this week and am on track to finish 11 books and 2 novellas, so my TBR mountain only grew a little bit.Β Β
What did you add to your shelves this week? Do any of these books appeal to you?

I’m at point where I don’t want anymore ARCs. It’s amazing you can manage so many every week. I hope you enjoy all new addition to your TBR.

Wow, you didn’t use the word stacking lightly, Carla. This is a real stack of books and I hope you enjoy them all.

I already have the two Shelley Shepard Gray books in my queue and am looking forward to them. I love the cover of The Little Italian Hotel.

I hope we both enjoy the Shelley Shepard Gray books, Linda. I also love the cover, it was one of the things that attracted me initially.

Fourteen ARCs? I’d probably hyperventilate if I received that many in a week, Carla. I’m also trying to request fewer NG books and read some from my own TBR. I’ve been somewhat successful so far – but I’m still behind on my NG shelf.

Fourteen is more than I wanted, but the blog tours are over several months, so it’s not too bad. I am trying to read more backlist books mixed with new releases and am having some success.

Fab haul Carla. I’ve got the Cassandra book, but it’s got a different name over here, it’s The Cassandra complex instead!

I saw that, I wish they didn’t do that. I had looked for The Cassandra Complex after reading a couple of good reviews, then couldn’t find it. I was glad when I was offered the US version for review.

I have the Anita Waller and have a widget for the Will Dean. I haven’t clicked on the widget yet… I’ve never read him before…π€

I read one of his books and it was a slow burn, thriller type story. I really liked it though. Tough to try a new author when you have so many others to read. I hope we both enjoy the Anita Waller book, Lynne.
