Welcome to It’s Monday! What are you Reading? It’s hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.
So I head home on Friday, my twelve weeks in Florida coming to an end. It looks like I will be in for some cold and gray days, but not snow. My sister and BIL came for a three day visit and I went out for dinner a couple of times with my “winter friends”. It is sad that we will all be heading home and not see each other again until next February. I had several gray days this week, so had a lot of reading time. Besides watching hockey, I haven’t really watched much this week, just read and listened to audiobooks. I have been trying to get caught up on blog hopping and posting, but I still have a way to go.
So, what did I read or listen to this week? I was able to read or listen to 13 novels and audiobooks this week. Only 4 were on my TBR that I set last Monday, so definitely some mood reading this week. I have reviewed them all, am caught up for 2023. Clicking on the cover will take you to my review. Clicking on the cover will take you to my review if I have posted it.
What Am I Reading Now:
What Will I Read Next? I’m not sure what I will read next, but my TBR has lots of choices. I have three books I want to read for Reading Ireland (2 that I am reading now), then I have some audiobooks that I got from the library (backlist books) that are due back, as well as some ARCs from NG, so I will try to listen to some of them. I have one book from Audible Plus to listen to before my subscription is done in a few days. I have an audiobook from Scribd that I need to listen to before the most recent in the series, which I have as an ARC. I also have one from my 12 friends challenge, and a couple from my Winter TBR that I haven’t read yet. I will not get all of these read or listened to in the next week, but will try to stick to this list. I will have three days of driving to get home, so I should be able to listen to 3 books and read a few when I stop for the night.
There you have it, which of the reading next books do you think I should pick up first? Have you read any of them? What are you reading this week?

Hi Carla, my goodness, what a lovely lot of reads. I am reading The Chimes by Charles Dickens and finishing off a Beta read for a blogging friend. Next I’ve got a short story and a poetry book to read.

I really enjoyed All That We Are, Carla. I finished Overkill by Vanda Symon today and am starting The Favour by Nicci French tonight. And no, it wasn’t on my reading plan for the week. 🤣🤣❤📚

😂😂 I am looking forward to All That We Are. I had planned to read it awhile ago, but other things and books got in the way. I think it will be up next. Enjoy your “mood reading” Sandy.

How nice that you had a visit with your sister. It’s great you could share your winter retreat with her. All good things must end, but I hope the weather is kind to you when you return up north

Thanks, Sam. We had a nice visit which is always welcome. I do miss my grandkids. According to the weather channel, there should be no more snow or ice this year.

You go girl. Nothing wrong with a bit of pressure. I will download a couple every morning so I have at least two a day to listen to. I will see what I listen to this week, then decide.

I have both of Amanda Flower’s books in my queue. I anticipate them both being good. Picking up roots and going back and forth is hard, but it is a good thing too–the best of both worlds. I don’t change homes until mid May because of a granddaughter’s graduation which I certainly don’t want to miss. Right now my NM cabin continues to need snow plowing so I’m in no rush to get back. My neighbor who lives there full-time is more than ready for spring. I wish you a safe return north and will be praying for you as you make your journey.

I hope we both enjoy the Amanda Flower Books, Linda. I love getting out of the cold, so don’t mind packing up to come south. Leaving here is bittersweet because I don’t want to leave my friends but I am looking forward to seeing my friends and family again soon.

It must be something of a wrench to up sticks and come north again. But at least you managed to avoid the worst of the winter – what a smart move:)). I hope you manage to get back into your reading and reviewing rhythm – and have a lovely week tucking into enjoyable books, Carla.

Well, I have one on my kindle, one physical book to read at the pool, and one audiobook all the time. Throw in a non-fiction and I have four. I have always been a multi-tasker, Diane. I hope to still be coming down here for at least 15 more years.
