This week’s Top Ten is Ten New to Me Authors in 2022. Over the year, I had planned to post each month the “New To Me Authors” I read. I did this for the first nine months of the year, then slipped and didn’t do the October, November and December. I am hoping to post 12 on this post, picking one from each month as I had so many.

February: Laurel Blount – Once again, this was the first book by this author I read, but have read a couple more since. Amish Romance is a genre I enjoy between thrillers and heavy historical fiction.

March: Sally Page – The Keeper of Stories was such an amazing book, I will definitely be looking for more books by Sally Page.

April: Trish Doller – The Suite Spot was the second book in her Beck Sisters series and I loved it. I immediately went back and read the first and will be reading the next shortly. (This was a tough month to pick as I had several new to me authors that I loved)

June: Catherine Bybee – Although she has an extensive backlist, this is the first book I read by Catherine Bybee. I loved it and am almost ready to read the third book in this trilogy. I will definitely be exploring her previously published books as well.

September: Kelley Armstrong – I had been wanting to read the Rockton series for a long time, but it has several books and I haven’t yet ventured into it. When I saw A Rip Through Time, the first book in a new series, I decided this was the time to try a Kelley Armstrong book. I loved it and will continue to read the series. I will still read the Rockton series eventually.

October: Matthew Farrell – The Perfect Mother is a thriller/suspense story that I enjoyed. Matthew Farrell is an author that had been recommended to me and I finally took a chance and am glad I did. Another author with a backlist that I will have to check out.

November: Philip Gulley – For Everything a Season is part of the Porch Talk series by Quaker Pastor, Phillip Gulley. It was a wonderful read with stories from the author’s past, many involving his family and career. It was funny as well as thought provoking and I plan on reading more in this series.

December: Tamara Berry – Those of you who follow my blog know that I enjoy a good cozy mystery series, especially one with humour and quirky characters. By the Book Mysteries had both of those as well as an interesting mystery. I read the fist two books in this series in December and am looking forward to the next one that is being published later in 2023.

It is always difficult to to these lists as I had so many new authors to choose from. This is not all the new authors I loved in 2022, but a good sampling. Have you read any of these authors? What new to you authors do you recommend.
