Welcome to It’s Monday! What are you Reading? It’s hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.
I arrived home late Wednesday, but listened to 4 audiobooks on the drive home. I also listened to several novellas/short stories for Novellas in November. My daughter-in-law went to a conference in Nashville for 4 days, so I had the grandchildren for a sleepover on the weekend, so novellas worked well. I also read several picture books to them while they were here. What I Read/Listened to this week: I was able to read or listen to 9 novels and 6 novellas this week. 😮 I read/listened to 7 that were not on the TBR I set last Monday. This week I read/listened to 15 novels/novellas/short stories, and have posted all my reviews. If you click on a cover, it will take you to my review.
Reading Now
 Â
What Will I Read Next? I’m not sure what I will read next, but my TBR has lots of choices. I am well into my 20 Books For Christmas (reading 13 so far) so will try and read a few Christmas books as well as some ARCs. It is Novella November, so I have added a few, novellas/short stories this week. I am also trying really hard to catch up on the D.I. Kim Stone series. Although I won’t read or listen to all of these books this week, I will try and choose from this list.

I loved it. That was quite the twist, totally unexpected for a Nicholas Sparks book. 📚💞😮

Thanks Shelleyrae. I was able to listen to a lot of books this week while decorating for Christmas and putting stuff away from my two vacations.

I listened to Uncharted Waters, but I didn’t see those other novellas in the series. Must get to them too!

I still need to read secret society of irregular witches. Looks like you read many books. I’m sure you can catch up with reviews real soon. Happy reading!

I listened to a lot of them because of my long ride home from my daughter’s place. Secret Society was a great story, I hope you get a chance to read it, Yesha.

Your books right now sound more fun and Christmasy than the ones lined up as potential reads. I just finished In the Forest (nonfiction about Polish Jews in WWII). It was very good but not “fun” reading. I am treating myself now to Sophie Kinsella’s The Party Crasher. The protagonist is the typical Kinsella way out there young lady, and I am having a hard time putting it down.

I find I have to have light reads after a lot of the Historical Fiction I read, so I can only imagine how it would be after Non-Fiction. I enjoyed the Party Crasher, Effie was a hilarious, but there are always some serious issues there too. I’m glad you are enjoying it.

Thanks Lashaan. Others might think I just sit and read and am not productive at all, I like your thinking.

I love having them over, but not a whole weekend, I would drop. Just dinner, overnight and home by dinner the next day. They don’t stop.

HI Carla, lots of great holiday reading material here. I also saw a James Patterson in this collection. I am reading M.J. Mallon’s new collection of poetry and listening to Catch 22 which is excellent.

I read Catch 22 back in school. I haven’t thought of that book in years. I used to read a lot of James Patterson, but his books got so predictable that I stopped for awhile. I enjoyed this one, though.

So many books! I really enjoyed Kate Quinn’s novella and it made me eager to pick up one of her full-length novels that have been on my TBR for too long. I’m also really looking forward to reading The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and I hope you enjoyed it! 🙂
