Hello and Happy Friday! It is a time to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Please feel free to join in with your own Positivity post.

Things might not always seem to be positive, but I try to look at the positive side of things. This week, my son and daughter-in-law were in a car accident. My daughter-in-law spent 2 nights in the hospital, but fortunately all is well and she is home with a lot of soft tissue damage, but nothing serious. So what is positive or what am I grateful for?

  • I had a lot of time with my grandkids
  • Canadian Universal Medical Care – in 24 hours she had an MRI, CT Scan, X-Rays and Ultrasound. She came home without a hospital bill
  • Airbags once again saved the day
  • A friend who worked in the building where the accident occurred and she was there to calm my son down and stay with him until his friend arrived to take him to the hospital
  • The fact that I was with the kids while their parents ran an errand, so they were not in the vehicle

I took my granddaughter to an event called “Once Upon a Tea Party”. She loved it and I was happy to see her have such a nice time.

I love my grandkids and my grand dogs (Sebastian & Sherman). I love spending time with all of them and did that several times over the last two weeks.

I decided to start getting rid of stuff I don’t use or need. I gave away the crib and changetable, and a couch, and sold a rototiller, my huge desk and a coffee table. I am using the money to buy a bedroom set from a friend for my spare room.

I turned my larger living room into my dining room so I actually have room to move around the table when I have company. The dining room is now my morning room. It looks out the window onto my backyard, which is perfect when I drink my coffee in the morning.

I am loving looking out over the yard and seeing all the life outside. I have rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, more kinds of birds than I can name, butterflies, dragonflies, lightening bugs and more. It is heaven on earth.

I went to see another play about a retired couple. I laughed so hard, I almost peed my pants. I love that my friend convinced me to get season’s tickets to this little local theatre.

My brother and his wife stopped by for a visit last weekend. I haven’t seen them since Christmas, so it was nice to have a visit for a few hours.

My daughter has an offer on her house, subject to financing. If all goes well, in five days there will be a sold sign on her front lawn.

Upgrades! I got a room for my DIL and her friend to go to a concert in Toronto and they got upgraded. When my daughter and her partner went away, they got upgraded too. I hope the same happens to me!

Meals out with friends. I seem to be eating out a lot! I have met up with friends and family several time for lunch and/or dinner. Great food and great company are all wonderful.

The whole family got together for a dinner at the church to celebrate my sister’s and BIL’s 45th anniversary, my son’s and DIL’s 11th anniversary and my daughter’s 35th birthday. It was a nice night and lots of people were in on the action.

Of course I am always thankful for:

  • Air Conditioning
  • homemade cookies and meringues from my daughter
  • phone calls and visits from friends to check on me
  • my pool to cool me down and exercise in
  • wonderful neighbours
  • fresh air and water
  • this week, we finally got some RAIN!

A friends sent this to me and I thought it was fitting to end my Positivity post with:

I am so blessed and have so many things to feel good about and be grateful for.

What was positive in your life, this week? What are you grateful for?
