Welcome It’s Monday! What are you Reading? It’s hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what weโve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.ย I have several books on the go, and some others I hope to get to, so here goes.
What I Read/Listened to this week: I didn’t do to badly sticking to my TBR this week, with only 1 book read or listened to that was not on this week’s TBR.ย This week I read/listened to 12 novels/audiobooks, but have posted all my reviews to this point.ย
What Are You Reading Now?
What Will I Read Next? Spending a lot of time out in the sun and by the pool, means more audiobooks. I am planning on reading some books I have for upcoming blog tours as well as other ARCs. I also want to read/listen to some books I got from the library and some from series I am trying to catch up on. I do not expect to get to all of these by next Monday, but hopefully within the next two weeks. I am going to try hard to choose from this TBR over the next week.

I am really looking forward to the new Finlay Donavan book. I loved the first one. Surviving Savannah is another one I would really like to read. I hope you enjoy your reading this week!

I finished Surviving Savannah this morning and it was really good. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to read/listen to it. I hope the second Finlay Donovan book is as good or better than the first one.

Did your group finish You Were Made for this Moment before you headed south? I took away my self-imposed schedule since I am studying by myself this year. Daniel required more time than I anticipated. I am in the middle of the Esther study now. It is so timely for this difficult period in history. From Daniel–purpose in your heart the stand you will take before the situation arises. From Esther–pray, rely on God to the extent of “If I perish, I perish.” I certainly hope it doesn’t come to that!

No, we took a break over Christmas and are actually meeting tonight on Zoom. I agree, I hope we don’t perish, but I am not afraid of death for me, but those I would leave behind. I like that theme from Daniel. I am trying to remember what study I did that emphasized the same thing about being prepared before the situation arises, it is so true.

Your list is amazing. It’s January 18 and I haven’t read a single book for pleasure yet this year. Three weeks in, and I’m already behind.

Oh dear, that doesn’t sound right at all. I assume you are working on your next book? I hope you get to relax and read something for pleasure soon, Staci.

Oh, you’ll get to read the Finlay Donovan books back to back. (or close to it) That should be fun.

It looks like you’ve got some great books going on here! I’m really curious to hear what you think about Carlan’s book. I can’t imagine you reading her books that I have read.

This is the third on in a trilogy. I read the second one and am going to read the first one this week. It wasn’t too bad.

I love imagining you lying by the pool and listening to your audiobooks – especially as we are in the middle of winter gloom here at present:)). You soak up the sun and have a splendid time of it! In the meantime, I love the range of your reading and here’s hoping you thoroughly enjoying this week’s reads.

Thanks Jo. I hope to tackle some today as I am not going down to the pool today, I overdid the sun and exercise a bit over the last couple of weeks.
