Hello and Happy Friday! I decided to join in The Positivity Wave. Originally started by Meggy @Chocolate’n’Waffles. It is a time to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Please feel free to join in with your own Happy Friday post.

I am a day late again, but better late than never!

Defeating Coronavirus 63 | Bob StewartI got my booster shot this week. With my plan to travel to Florida for several weeks, to see some sun and get away from the cold, I wanted to make sure I had the booster before I left. I am ready to go and my insurance will cover me if I get sick.

As much as I don’t like raking leaves, my grandkids love playing in them. My daughter-in-law snapped this picture of my Duckie and sent me to it. I am going to frame this one.

My husband used to put up the Christmas lights all along the eaves, but I don’t want to get up on a ladder by myself, so I don’t. I do love to decorate the outside, even if it is limited. I got my lights up and turned on the day after Remembrance Day. The kids loved it when they came for dinner this week.

We also put up the Christmas tree. After the kids went home, I had to move some of the ornaments around, but it looks good. Fortunately, the ones that fell on the ground because they weren’t hooked properly, didn’t break.

We went to visit my sister to see all her decorations and the two youngest loved them. She has a musical Disney Castle with a parade that goes around the bottom. I watched them beaming, mesmerized watching it go around.

Things I felt positive about over the last couple of weeks:

  • trimming the bushes and cleaning all the mess up
  • doing my morning devotions, and reading some Max Lucado books
  • getting more sleep at night so I have more energy
  • baking with pumpkin (cookies, cheesecake, dumpcake and muffins) to share with family and friends
  • Winning an auction for a couple of paintings done by a lady from my church who is now deceased. Her family donated a bunch of her work to the church to raise funds
  • reading and listening to some wonderful books

Things I am grateful for everyday, but especially the last few weeks:

  • I watch a couple of bluejays out my back window everyday
  • My sister and her husband safely made it to Arizona for the winter
  • Watching my friend’s grandson play football in the finals (they didn’t win, but it was great to see their upbeat spirit)
  • Family and Friends (always, everyday)
  • My good health and the ability to get care when I need it.
  • My hot water tap was giving me issues, dribbling instead of pouring. Not sure what happened but it is working fine again and I won’t have to replace it
  • Watching Hockey on television (too cold, too expensive to go to the actual games)
  • I began watching Yellowstone on Amazon Prime. It is a bit violent and risque, but so far I am enjoying it.

A couple of things I hope will make you smile:
