Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga Reviews and Marlene of Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, books for review from authors, Netgalley, Edelweiss or publishers, gifts or books you won. If you click on the covers, it will take you to Goodreads (I hope).
One of my reading goals for 2021 is to reduce Mount TBR, so hopefully that means these posts will be a lot shorter this year. This week snuck up on me again. With some series that I love, some authors that I love and some audiobooks that sounded amazing, I once again requested more books than I had planned.
Netgalley: 10 Novels, 3 Audiobooks
Edelweiss: Just 1
Audiobooks for Review: 4 more
Library, Audible, Amazon: 4 Audiobooks
So, definitely not meeting my goal of cutting back on ARCs yet. 11 novels, 11 audiobooks for a total of 22 new additions to Mount TBR. This week, I am on track to read and/or listen to 12 books, so I technically added 10 books to my TBR, not the way I wanted to go in 2021.
What did you add to your shelves this week? Do any of these books appeal to you?

Quite a haul, Carla but I hope they will all be great reads. I haven’t read Colleen Cable in quite a while. I hope to find one of her titles soon.

This will only be the second Colleen Coble I have read. It is the final book in a trilogy, which I read the second one. I will go back and read the first one before I read this one.

I have the Colleen Coble, and love the look of the Alex Coombs but I already have two reads for review due for that date and so many for 21st that it is not funny. My resolution for this year is not to request backtitles which this almost is. There are 4 titles available for this author! All due for publication on 19th. 😬❤📚

Well, you know that isn’t going to stop me, but I wish you lots of luck with your resolution, Sandy. I really hope you can stick to it. 😊🙄

Some of your new books are ones I am really looking forward to reading too, especially The Rose Code and The Lost Apothecary. I hope you enjoy all your new books, Carla!

Thank you so much for choosing All You Need is Love. Formerly released as Bear With Me, this is a reader favourite so I’m intrigued as to what you think. Have a great weekend x

I think this is the only one of your previous books that I have not read. I am looking forward to getting to it. I just finished New Arrivals at Hedgehog Hollow last night. Hopefully I will get my review done today or tomorrow.

Oh! Cathy Gohlke wrote Medallion which I loved! I was declined Rose Code. I like Big Little Lies more than I anticipated. Redhead can be read in a day! Happy reading!

That was why I requested this one Carol. I loved The Medallion! I tried Big, Little Lies years ago and just couldn’t get into it. I figured I would try again as it has such great reviews and I want to watch the series. Thanks Carol.

The Kim Thuy book is the One eRead Canada book being offered through the libraries. I was interested when I saw it as I read and liked her other one.

I am looking forward to reading it. I note all my cat stories have a new book this spring. I have been reading 5 books of Ruth Galloway stories. Take easy and relax if you can.

Some fantastic additions, Carla!!!! We’re just enablers, aren’t we?😏 I loved the audio version of Big Little Lies. I came really close to getting the Cicely Tyson book and hope I didn’t make a mistake. Can’t wait to see what you think. And one of these days I’ll start the Jack Swyteck series as I’ve collected most of the books.
Enjoy everything💜

I wasn’t positive about the Cicely Tyson one, but after reading the blurb, I decided to go for it. I always loved her work when I saw her in something. I love Jack Swyteck, and have read every one of them. Yes, we definitely are enablers, better books than something else. 🙄😊

I wish I could try more of the audio ARCs! Most I can only wish for… In a way, it also means that at least my Netgalley shelf doesn’t grow that quickly. 😉

Oh yes, a lot of ARCs are not available for international bloggers, but at least it does save me from having a LOT of titles on my pending Netgalley shelves. 😉
