This was either a really good week or a really bad week depending on how you look at it. Good because I am adding some really good books to my TBR📚 , bad because I am adding a lot of books to Mount TBR. 🤣
Netgalley: I received a ton of invites/widgets this week. I accepted 10 of them, turned down another three or four. 16 new books on the TBR.
Edelweiss: Just 1
Blog Tours/Author Requests: 3 more
I also added a few freebies from Amazon, but they were already on my TBR, so I am not adding them.
So there you have it, back to my old tricks. 20 new additions to my TBR and I have only read/listened to 9 so far this week, so that mountain got quite a bit higher this week. I need to stop accepting the invitations and stop reading other bloggers “Stacking the Shelves” (no names mentions Susan and Sandy).

Ever since 3rd grade and Mr. Popper’s Penguins, I have been attracted to stories with penguins in them. I just couldn’t not try for How the Penguins Saved Veronica. There were two choices on NetGalley so I wished for it with Penguin Canada and requested from Berkley, but I rarely get approved for Berkley. That leaves me hoping for wishes to come true.😉 I also just requested Lowcountry Boondoggle and while I was on Edelweiss saw that Wendy Tyson has a new book out so chalk up another one. I’m sure there are many more in your list that I would love to read, but I’m stopping there. I have not read any of the Harlequin Intrigue, but I noticed that they have a certain “look” to brand that series. I’m sure it is supposed to appeal, but that mean, fierce, worried expression just doesn’t do it for me. Perhaps if I read the books, I would have a different opinion.

I didn’t know Wendy Tyson has a new one, I will have to request that one. Henery Press usually approved me. I read reviews of the series that a blogger I follow wrote and she really liked them, so when I was invited to read them, I thought, yes. I hope you get How The Penguins Saved Veronica.

I added library books now that our library has reopened. I am doing well on reading them and owe the library only sixty cents for overdue fines! LOL

Our library is still not open, but they called me this week to say that they are mailing me the books that were waiting for me. I am glad yours is open.

Our library may close again for all I know. Number of cases spiked 40% locally, probably due to overcrowded beaches on Memorial Day weekend.

It is funny the way they decide who gets a book and who doesn’t. I hope you get all the ones that are pending.📚 I guess as habits go, this one isn’t harmful, so I should just go for it. 😍📚😃
