Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.
Thanks to Tina at Reading Between the Pages, I found this book that is coming out in September, by an author that I thoroughly enjoy.
This week, I am waiting for:

Publisher: Scout Press (Gallery Books)
Expected publication: September 8th 2020 by Scout Press
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Turn of the Key and In a Dark Dark Wood returns with another suspenseful thriller set on a snow-covered mountain.
Getting snowed in at a beautiful, rustic mountain chalet doesn’t sound like the worst problem in the world, especially when there’s a breathtaking vista, a cozy fire, and company to keep you warm. But what happens when that company is eight of your coworkers…and you can’t trust any of them?
When an off-site company retreat meant to promote mindfulness and collaboration goes utterly wrong when an avalanche hits, the corporate food chain becomes irrelevant and survival trumps togetherness. Come Monday morning, how many members short will the team be?

At first I thought what a great place to be isolated from Covid 19! Then I read on about the co-workers egads! Sounds like an exciting read!!!

There are several to choose from. They are all standalone stories so any would work. I hope you give one of hers a try, Lili.

I will. What genre do her books mostly lean into, by the way. I’m guessing thriller ot mystery?

Basically thriller/suspense, but there is usually some kind of mystery that it is based on.

Oh, great. I’m now more interested. If I’m remembering it correctly Cabin 10 is hers. I’m not near my bookshelf but I have a copy of it. Have you read that one? Is it good to start?

Yes, I read that one and I believe that is the first one of hers that I read and enjoyed. You could definitely start with that one.

The “corporate food chain” remark has me intrigued… Are we going to get an “Alive” situation??
