Wow! Well done Carla. This challenge looks very difficult! I’m only participating in three challenges in 2020. The one I created (The Bookbloggers Fiction Reading Challenge); The What’s in a Name? Challenge that I learned about via your post; and my usual 2020 Goodreads Reading Challenge where I always promise to read 100 books.

Wow! I’m not brilliant at keeping up with challenges and I’m so impressed at how many of these you have already been able to tick off, Carla. Best of luck with the ones you want to tackle – as you say, reading should be fun, right?

Thanks Sarah. Absolutely, if it isn’t fun anymore, then try something else. I can’t imagine me ever not enjoying reading though.

This is a challenge I look at every year, mostly because I know so many people who do it, but there are always a few on there that I absolutely will not complete, so I don’t. But I like your attitude about it.
I have one suggestion. At first, I had the same reaction to the RPG book, but I suspect there would be some graphic novels out there that meet the requirement. It would be a down and dirty way to check it off without much commitment, since they are fairly quick reads. 😀

Something to check out. Thanks Myndi. I usually won’t try something I know I can’t or won’t finish, but, if I do what I can this year, next year I can try to do better.

Good luck with this challenge Carla. It sounds like fun but I won’t be participating in it.
I DO have some suggestions for a few of them in case you can’t think of anything to fit the bill.
For #12 “The stolen child” by Lisa Carey
For # 13 “Dark Corners” by Ruth Rendell
For #16 “What have you done?” by Matthew Farrell
For #21 “She’s not there” by P.J. Parrish (actually two sisters, Kristy Montee and Kelly Nichols)
For #22 “Bitter Crossing” by D.A. Keeley
For #23 “Beartown” by Fredrik Backman
For #24 “24 hours” by Greg Isles
For #29 “The history of love” by Nicole Krauss
For #35 “Snap” by Belinda Bauer
For #36 “The Broken Girls” by Simone St. James
and for
#47 and #48
“Little Black Lies” by Sharon Bolton
“Little Black Lies” by Sandra Block

Thanks for this list Lynne. Some of them I have already read unfortunately, because they would have fit. Some I was struggling with so will add them for sure. I read Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton already which is too bad because I have Little Black Lies by Sandra Block on my table. The Ruth Rendell one will definitely help me out.

I’d love to do a challenge like this, but it’s intimidating. I agree with Mischenko. You’re fantastic at it, tho!

This looked totally undoable until I saw how many you had already done without trying. Yes, I suppose it will get harder as you get down to the final effort, but it helps to know what you are trying to include as you choose books. I had no idea what RPG stood for either. And yes, I would probably pass on that one too.

I looked at the prompts today and made a list of three books to read in the next month that will fulfill 3 of the prompts. If I do that each month, it should be doable.

This is my third year doing the Pop Sugar challenge and I never actually intend to do them all, just as many as I possibly can. For example, I have no intention of doing the RPG one – LOL! I’ll push myself into different genres but not into those where I know I don’t fit. I like to stretch myself but reading still should be something you enjoy, you know? I wish you luck and lots of fun!!

I agree totally. I will not read an RPG book either, I don’t think it is something I would enjoy. Thanks for the luck, I plan to update at the end of each month. Do you post an update. I would love to watch your progress and maybe even read a book or two that you use.

I have always passed, because I don’t like going into anything that I don’t think I will be successful with, but it doesn’t matter if I complete it or not, it will just force me out of my comfort zone a bit.
