Hello and Happy Friday! I decided to join in The Positivity Wave. Originally started by Meggy @ Chocolate’n’Waffles but I saw it posted by nickimags @ The Secret Library Book Blog and Jonetta@BlueMoodCafe. It is a time to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Please feel free to join in with your own Happy Friday post and link to Meggy’s post so that she knows and say ‘hi’.
A wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend started off my positive week. It was also my grandson’s birthday last week, so we celebrated his 6th birthday as well as Thanksgiving. A family dinner, with ham not turkey because my kids prefer ham, and a wonderful Peanut Butter Pie that I made for dessert. He loved it!
Because my son and his family went away Friday night and Saturday for a family Thanksgiving with my daughter-in-law’s family. I had my big, big, big granddog overnight. He is not a lap dog, but he did keep me company.
I defrosted my freezer and organized and cleaned by fridge freezer. I had a lot of stuff that I didn’t even realize I had. I will not have to buy meat or fish for awhile. I also had so much ground beef, that I treated both my kids to a homemade meatloaf.
Another dinner at the church is in the books. We made beef stroganoff, veggies, coleslaw and I made zucchini brownie for dessert. A couple hundred dollars and two containers of stroganoff going to Street Help, an organization for homeless persons.
I watched 5 Christmas movies this week and read 3 Christmas stories. I am feeling festive.
I was approved for Starlight Over Bluebell Castle. It is the last book in a trilogy that I have been reading and was worried I would be declined. So happy I get to finish this trilogy.
Yesterday, my house was cleaned by a wonderful lady from my church. She likes the job and needs to work, and I love having someone else do the cleaning that I am not a fan of.
I cut my grass hopefully for the last time this year. I own 1/2 an acre, so it is a big job.
Today, my two youngest grandchildren were over. My grandson stood by himself and kept his socks on!

I loved hearing about your fun week. Your peanut butter pie looks delicious. I “googled” it and found that there are lots of versions. Would you like to share your recipe? 😋 Your granddog is HUGE and has such a sweet face. Your little grandson is at such a precious age. How fun to have him visit! Thanks for your positivity posts. They always bring a smile!

Thanks Linda. I can send you the link, but I know I will change it up the next time I make it. It was sooooooo sweet. Of course we managed to eat it all, but I got a head rush. He is just a real sweetie, I call him my big galoot. I look forward to Fridays when I have the two little ones, even though it exhausts me by the end of the day. I am glad these posts bring a smile, they sure make me smile when I put them together.

He’s pretty laid back. We went outside and threw the frisbee, he chased it, then just laid down and rolled around. I chased him a bit, which was good for both of us I guess.

Sounds like ours! We have our 6 year old grandson here who does the chasing and throwing! Win-win!
