Hello and Happy Friday! I decided to join in The Positivity Wave. Originally started by Meggy @ Chocolate’n’Waffles but I saw it posted by nickimags @ The Secret Library Book Blog and Jonetta@BlueMoodCafe. It is a time to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Please feel free to join in with your own Happy Friday post and link to Meggy’s post so that she knows and say ‘hi’.
Sorry I am late posting this week, the grandkids have been over all day, so computer time has been at the minimum. I need to prepare this post on Thursday nights so I can get it up earlier in the day.
Theatre, Theatre, Theatre.
This past week I went to see Othello at the University. Those kids did an amazing job. It was long, but worth the late night.
Then on Saturday I went to a Cabaret Night. There was a pasta dinner, then a series of acts featuring show tunes. There were comedy acts, group acts and serious performances. All done by friends and members of our church.
On Wednesday this week, I went to the theatre with my sister and a friend to see a wonderful performance of Annie. It was a full day as it was 3.5 hours each way, plus lunch, dinner and the show, but it was a great day.
I spent a day cleaning up my yard and getting ready for winter. Fountains, chairs, hoses, toys etc. are all put away for the winter. (I kept out a couple of chairs for those nice days and for the smokers in my family). It looks a bit barren, but it is nice that it is put away for now.
I read and listened to some really good books this week.
Christmas, Christmas makes me happy. I have begun reading Christmas stories and have also started watching Hallmark Christmas movies. (I recorded them last year, but didn’t have a chance to watch them all). ☃️🎄🎅❄️
I booked an extra week of travel this week. I will be spending the first week of January in Myrtle Beach. I am going with a friend who has never been and even though it will be cool or even cold, I am looking forward to showing her all the things my husband and I enjoyed when we vacationed there.
Today is my first grandchild’s birthday. He is six years old today and I am so proud of this little man. He was recognized this week for a great start to the new school year. He was so proud of his accomplishment.
Healthwise, I lost another couple of pounds this week, so in the last 7 weeks, I have lost 12 pounds. I feel good about that and I know my doctor will be pleased when I go back for my three month check up.
Being Canadian, our Thanksgiving is on Monday. I have been cooking and getting ready to have the family over for dinner on Sunday. More on that in next week’s post.
