What happened in my life this month:

During the week of July 22 – 26, I was the director of Vacation Bible Day Camp at my church. We had 30 children attend with 8 high school volunteers and 4 adults that coordinated the activities. I was there from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. I was also responsible to purchase all the materials and supplies needed, train the volunteers, prepare the snacks and run the mission portion of the day. To say I was exhausted is an understatement. Now I know why I am retired. Having said that, it was an amazing week. My two older grandchildren were there, so that was fun too. And I also injured my leg when I fell in the rock garden, but that was the last day at least.

With music, craft, science, stories, games, mission (Education for all) and snacks, we all had a great time. Friday was water day, which was when I got hurt, and Wednesday we had two face painters visit. Lots happening all week.

Besides that, I have read lots of books, listened to many more, enjoyed my backyard and pool as well as entertained family and friends.

It was an awesome July, I hope August goes as well.Β

Wishing you all an amazing August as we move forward with an amazing year.
