Six months into the year and I thought I should update my challenges. Some are finished such as the Coyer challenge, but others are still on going.
A to Z Challenge: I am still plugging away with this one. I do hope to finish it by September, but only time will tell. Right now I have competed A to S.
Also working on the COYER challenge that started on December 1st and ended on March qst. My tracking page shows that I had planned to read 80 books on my kindle that were less than $1.00. I read 76/80.
Colour Challenge: I found this one on Nightcap Books. There are 18 prompts and I have competed 17/18. Tracking Page
I am also doing The Goodreads Challenge like most of the people who read my blog. I set my goal on Goodreads for 600 Books. This will include everything I read and listen to, including children’s books. I am just a bit ahead of schedule. I have read 315/600 so far, 18 books ahead of schedule. It is actually a few more than that as I have a bunch of children’s books I have to write reviews for.
Genre Book Bingo is another that I found on Darinda’s page, Nightcap Books. I think this will be the most difficult one for me as I tend to read the same genres over and over.
The 2019 Audiobook Challenge is hosted by Hot Listens and Caffeinated Reviewer. This one is great for fans of audiobooks. I’m going for the Marathoner, which is for 50+ audiobooks. I have surpassed my goal and have listened to 86 audiobooks already this year.
My final challenge is Historical Fiction Reading 2019. I found this one on The Secret Library Book Blog, a blog I enjoy, check it out if you haven’t already. My goal was 25 books, Ancient History, but I have already read 34, so am switching my goal to 50 which is Prehistoric Status.

600 books, Carla, that is incredible. My goal is 60 but I will exceed it and probably get to about 100

That is only possible because I live alone and am retired. I don’t watch much television and listening to audiobooks has really increased how many I read/listen to now.

Wow! It looks like you are more than on track! Keep up the good work! (also 600 books is ridiculously awesome! Go you!)

The joys of living alone and being retired. Now that you are going back to work, you will have even less time to read.

I’ll just be reading different things or maybe even read more to escape from student writing! Hahahaha.

Wow! I’m so impressed, Carla! So many challenges and looking like you are doing very well with them. But 600 books??! Totally blew me out of the water. I see a couple challenges there I may try next year. I don’t seem to do well with the alphabet–always missing the same letters. Now audiobooks–I’ll look into that one. Great job!

It seems like a lot, but over half are children’s books and I read 4 or 5 at a time when I am with the grandkids. I have come to love audiobooks.

You are amazing and doing great with your challenges. The end of the alphabet holds its own challenges, but I bet there are some children’s books that could help you out there.

Thanks Linda. It will be a year and a half finishing the A to Z challenge, but it got 26 physical books off my shelves. 😃

Thanks Barb. The first half of the year, I just read what I want and plug them in, the second half is a lot harder because I need to fill in the openings.

Thanks Susan. The problem is that you always leave the hardest ones to the end.
