I had a very busy weekend. It is Thanksgiving here in Canada, so it is a long weekend. I was fortunate to get invited to my sister’s for dinner on Saturday to see her children and grandchildren. They do not live in town, so I only get to see them a couple of times a year. Yesterday was very busy. I was trying to finish reading my cozy mysteries I had started, cut the grass, do laundry, go to church, teach Sunday School, and so on. Today I am preparing dinner for my family. I love to cook and bake, but I do make a mess.
We don’t have the traditional dinner as my children are not big turkey fans. I am serving Prime Rib, Curried Butternut Squash and Pear soup, Caesar Salad, Pumpkin Scones and Pumpkin Dump Cake for dessert.
Reading wise, I did very well with my goal for Week 1 in October. I was planning on reading as many cozies that I had on my TBR as possible. My first goal was to read/listen to the first three books in the Southern Chocolate Shop Mystery and I did listen to them all. I managed to finish 10 books with 3 in the process which I hope to finish this week.
My goal for week 2 is Christmas books. They might be romance, they might be chick-lit or they might be cozy mysteries, we shall see.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week, reading, relaxing and spending time with family.
