There are quite a few questions so if you make it to the end, kudos to you! If you don’t, that’s okay too.

Carla, I have no idea how I missed this tag! I loved reading all your answers here. I learned a lot about you. ❤ and you give awesome advice. I could just go on and on with everything you mention. I’d love to just sit down and chat with you because we have some things in common for sure. I’m sure you were an amazing teacher and still are to everyone around you, especially your grandchildren. I also hope you aren’t stressing about having weight. I’m hard on myself too, but it can always come off just like it goes on. Hugs to you. 💙❤🧡💗

Thanks Jenn. It feels so strange when I talk about some of the bloggers I follow and call them my friends, but that is how I feel about you and some of the others. I am only stressing about my weight because I know how unhealthy it is. I am diabetic so would be so much better off if I could get back to the weight I was about 2 or 3 years ago. I am eating better and getting out and doing more, so that is a good start.

I loved reading your answers, Carla. No wonder you’re one of my favorite bloggers. 😉
Oh…and I’m trying to get healthier too. I still have to work on eating better. The older I get the more salt, sugar, fried foods and chocolate I seem to crave. 🤦🏽♀️ But I’ve been walking most days, trying to get in at least 10,000 steps per day. I love walking early in the morning (before it gets hot), with a good audiobook. It invigorates me for several hours. I’m always tired too. Even fatigued sometimes which is so frustrating. But I try to stay positive and do the best I can. 😊

Aww, thanks Laurie. I think most women tend to be tired because we do so much for others and don’t take care of ourselves. Living alone I tend to eat a lot of snack foods instead of making myself a proper meal. I really need to work on that.

I don’t live alone and I still snack a lot, especially when reading. 🤦🏽♀️
And yes, we as women do tend to neglect ourselves because we do so much for others. But I’m finding that the older I get the more I need to focus on some essential needs, like rest and rejuvenation. Sometimes I just feel fatigued, which is quite annoying, but I just push through it as best I can and try to keep moving. That’s all we can do, right? 🤷🏽♀️
So nice learning more about you Carla. Have a great weekend. 💕

Thanks so much for the tag!! 😀 I will definitely do it, but I am a little behind on tags right now so I don’t know when it will be!
I could use a nap right now too! And congrats on replacing the faucet! I wouldn’t even know where to start! (unless calling my dad and asking him to do it counts!) I am so sorry about the loss of your husband but it sounds like you have a wonderful family that had helped you be strong!

Carla, I was just reading through your tag and felt compelled to write something back to you. I have not been taking care of myself like I should lately, and my 76 year old mom hasn’t either. I haven’t slept well, am tired all the time, and don’t exercise like I should because I’m so tired. On Monday, I started with just 10 minutes of walking and my mom is joining me. I can tell you in just these last three days, my sleep has improved. Next week, we’ll walk for 15 minutes, the next 20, etc. I’m not sure if that’s helpful at all, but I wanted to mention it. Also, wanted to say, I am certain as a teacher that you touched many, many lives and are remembered fondly by all of your students. I remember all my teachers and and am so grateful for all I learned from them. You clearly have a heart of gold and your love for books had to have been modeled for your students and made a huge difference, too. Sending good thoughts and lots of hugs.

Thanks Jen. I know it is so easy to start, I just need to do it. I will give it a go tomorrow. A walk first thing in the morning around the block before doing anything else. I will let you know if I follow through.
